During the school year, Sunday School offers classes for toddlers, early pri-
mary, older primary, middle school and high school.

The First & Summerfield Youth Group provides a Christian environment where teenagers can learn how to relate to God, to each other and to their wider com-
munity. Our activities improve the physical, social, educational and spiritual lives of our members. Activities include Bible Study, leading worship, helping the underprivileged, games, outdoor fun and trips. Our members are from 12 to 16 years old. New members are always welcome!

During the school year, our Sunday Adult Group meets after church to discuss issues relating to Christian living. We have discussed a multitude of themes, including ethics in the modern world, the connectional church, war and peace, diversity, missions, reconciling congregations, meditation, and church history. We’ve had formal presentations, but usually the style is relaxed, warm, and supportive. We are not shy about bringing issues to the table! Please join us!

Over the years, First and Summerfield has sponsored internships of Yale Divinity School students, who have served in a wide variety of roles, from coordinating the Campus Ministry, to leading the Youth Group, to assisting with services, and on and on. They have brought different approaches and performed different tasks, but they have always been a blessing to our congregation!
